Lemnos PACE Japanese Designer Cuckoo Wall Clock - Brown
The PACE Cuckoo Clock, designed by Akira Yamamoto, reinterprets the traditional cuckoo clock through a contemporary Japanese design perspective.
PACE (パーチェ), meaning peace, reflects the calm and gentle rhythm the clock brings to everyday living.
The dial features a graphic design inspired by a birdhouse, creating a subtle visual illusion that blends illustration with object. At the 6 o’clock position, a small cuckoo bird appears from its window, while the clock hands echo the silhouette of birds, adding a quiet sense of playfulness to the design. At the top of each hour, the cuckoo emerges to gently announce the time.
Unlike traditional cuckoo clocks, PACE is framed within a simple circular case, giving it a refined and modern presence. Crafted from layered plywood, the clock has a generous depth and substantial form, allowing it to function both as a timepiece and as a sculptural element within the room.
- Size: φ 305 x D120 mm
- Material: Plywood
- Two-level volume control
- Light sensor (automatically stops the cuckoo sound in the dark)
Thoughtful, playful, and carefully crafted, PACE reflects the distinctive design philosophy of Lemnos - where everyday objects are elevated through considered form and material.
